The components were preserved, but the operational characteristics remained the same.
The previous information insider Billbil-kun was confirmed, Sony began a new revision of PlayStation 5 or its thin version, which was first released two years ago. YouTin Evans traditionally looked at the object and made interesting conclusions.
The new revision, which wears the CFI-2100, can be recognized by a box, shows a capacity of 825 GB (667 useful GB). This is the same value as the launch of the PS5, but less than the original thin version that offered 1 TB (848 GB for use). Such a large SSD should still contain consoles with mechanics, a decrease in the container is applied to a purely digital publication (although you can buy a disk later).
In fact, you can easily recognize the console and unpack. The new audit has a matte design instead of glossy, and this applies to both the black body of the device and the removable white plates.
As for the inside, there were also changes. For example, the motherboard has less VRM, and cooling was processed. Thanks to the new fans and the thinner protection of metals, the CFI-2100 is 110 grams easier than the original thin version. Nevertheless, this did not affect operational characteristics, the consoles still have the same consumption and very similar, only slightly higher temperatures.
In general, according to Evans, this is a cheerful revision, because Sony has retained in most aspects, so it is practically not known to the result. The problem, however, lies in a smaller storage that customers will receive at the same price as for obtaining PS5 from 1 TB SSD.
