Valve, working on the popular Steam Platform, announced a few days ago that on January 1, 2026 it would put an end to the support of some users. However, only 0.01 % of people who use Steam seem to affect changes.
In particular, this completes the support of 32 -bit operating systems. In this case, mainly only 32 -By Windows 10, because the older axes are no longer supported by Steam. The reason for the completion of support is the aforementioned low number of users and the need to use libraries or drivers that no longer support 32 -bit operating systems. Steam as such is still a 32 -bit program, so it is possible that a change will occur from next year.
If you are one of the few who still use 32 -By Windows 10, the existing Steam installation should still work in the near future. Nevertheless, the valve will not provide any updates (or security) or technical support and does not guarantee 100 % functionality. Therefore, the company recommends that you switch to 64 -bit operational system as soon as possible.
It will remain supported by 64 -bit Windows 10, although Microsoft itself stops support in October, while Windows 11 has only a 64 -bit version, so there are no problems. In addition to the support of the OS, nothing changes, so the launch of 32 -bit games will continue to work.
