An amazing bet on an open world.

Among the pleasant surprises of the presentation games this year, the live on the new LEGO game from TT Games Studio, which for a long time participated in licensed titles based on Danish cubes and manufacturer of sets, included. After games such as Lego Horizon Adventures or Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, they decided to return to the DC Comics universe and the character of the famous Batman in TT games.
The name called Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight follows the old LEGO games with a bat, led by a popular LEGO BATMAN trilogy, which was released from 2008 to 2014. In addition to the very successful SHOFloor Studio TT games, the game was also available at the stand of Lego itself, where I personally tried the game.
The freedom of the open Gotham
At first, the content of the reproduced demonstration was a big surprise for me. Instead of one of the pre -prepared line missions, I was placed in the open world of the famous city of Gotham. Yes, you read correctly, the developers adopted a relatively fundamental revolution instead of the bet, for sure, a characteristic characteristic of which is the transition to the open world. Although the demonstration was proposed only by one of the Gotham areas, it was surprised by the size and freedom, which was offered to me by a proven version.

Indeed, the creators themselves claim that the new Lego Batman boasts a big game world than at one time a very ambitious Batman: Arkham Knight by Rocksteady. Nevertheless, it should be added that the developers in Showfloor showed a relatively early version of the game, which they themselves called before alpha. Therefore, the whole demonstration seemed rather a prototype, which primarily shows the possibilities of an open world, including NPC characters on the streets and freely passing vehicles.
A characteristic feature of Lego games is the presence of a sofa.
However, instead of standard missions or tasks, I was supposed to be associated with game content only with battles against random groups of enemies, but there were enough of them to try basic equipment and assessment of the duel system. In the duel, he offers a combination of old STIP -LEGO elements from the “adult” games from the Batman series: Arkham. Therefore, short attacks play mainly with animation.
For both holidays and experienced players
A characteristic feature of Lego games is the presence of a sofa. Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, which offers two local cooperation. From the point of view of the characters, Batman himself plays a major role that has a traditional cloak, after which you can swim through Gotham after an example of the already mentioned games of Arkham. Another well -known equipment is an anchor that allows you to collect for various objects or attract enemies at a closer distance.

The second game character was a proven version of Jim Gordon, who had a gun, and, like Batman, the opportunity to swim with a manual glider. Nevertheless, the full version will also offer other characters, including a woman -cat. If you once played the LEGO game in the past, you soon get used to the game process. In this regard, the developers rely on the availability and simple combination of primary and secondary weapons.
This is still fun, which, of course, is not offended. But you would look for a significant revolution in vain. In general, a playable demonstration from the new LEGO Batman surprised me especially a bet on a big open world.

Undoubtedly, it will be interesting to see how developers will be able to unite only the seductive freedom of the open world with more linear missions in the traditional campaign, which will continue to play in the game. Available passage could not answer this.
In all the remaining areas, this is the traditional LEGO game, which mainly relies on local cooperation, traditionally stylized graphics, simple history and an affordable gameplay that can cover holiday players and not insult even more demanding users. In short, the perfect easy entertainment, which can reduce the expectation of another big game with Batman in the title role.
Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will come out during 2026 on PC and PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
