The new game from Supermassive will not arrive next year.
British studio supermassive games, known mainly by their horror films, such as “before dawn”, “Anthology of the career and dark pictures”, today announced unpleasant reports both about research and in one of the upcoming projects.
First of all, we learned in the report that there would be further dismissals, and up to 36 employees must lose their work. This is the second large wave of release in these studies, about 30 % of employees of that time (approximately 90 people) lost their work in February last year. The report also states that the studio will provide full support for all injured workers.
The second information concerns the upcoming directive of the horror movie 8020, which should begin the new era of the aforementioned series The Dark Pictures. He had to arrive on October 2, but the date is not applied. The developers decided to postpone the title until the first half of 2026. In addition, they want to use time to give fans the best experience.
In any case, on small nightmares III, which also develop in supermassive offices, nothing changes. The game will be released on October 10 on a PC and all consoles.
