The ambitious RPG with the open world in the Pirates of the Caribbean was to tell the story of the new pirate captain ten years before the events of the first film. The player would treat the Caribbean basin, built a reputation and decided whether to be a legend or a damned writer. Studio Developer Propaganda Games had Turok or Tron: Evolution.
The game was introduced in E3 2009 and immediately attracted attention. Journalists compared it with Assassin’s Creed, there are tens of minutes of the gameplay from preliminary versions, and all indicated that it was almost finished. But in October 2010, shortly before the planned problem, Disney canceled the entire project and released most of the team – supposedly from the corporate restructuring.
Considering that the “Pirates of the Caribbean” were huge at that time, and a year later the fourth film earned more than a billion dollars, abolishing it as complete nonsense. This is how the world has lost one of the most interesting pirate games that can still compete with a later black flag.
