From the beginning of April this year, fans of the old railroad shooters can enjoy the remastered classic in the form of action horror The House of the Dead on Nintendo Switch. The good news is that next week the game will appear on other platforms.
Remake of the House of the Dead will also be available for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Google Stadium starting April 28. It will be sold for 24.99 euros.
The iconic zombie shooter returns in a completely redesigned form. Dr. Roy Curien, an expert in the theory of the human genome, will lose his last sanity in search of the power that would allow him to revive the dead. When he finally finds a solution, Sophie Richards, a member of his research team, manages to contact his friend Thomas Rogan and Agent G from the government agency AMS for help. Their task is simple – to get through Curien’s mansion teeming with hordes of zombies, save all the employees of his laboratory and, while there is time, stop the most insane scientist. So go solo or with a friend to fight against zombies and other nightmarish creatures in this bloody, unrestrained shooter from your own perspective.” says in a press release.
The remake brings brand new graphics, updated sounds, improved game mechanics and additional game modes. The developers stay true to the original gameplay, offering more endings and modern features such as photo mode, trophies/achievements, and two-player local multiplayer.
