Although we are accustomed to the new generation of video cards, they mainly bring all the improvements, the NVIDIA in the RTX 50 series with the Blackwell code designation with an invisibly deleted one function, but the players found it quite quickly. It was found that new cards did not have the support of the Physx physical engine, which used dozens of old games in which, for example, fluid modeling, more true for the environment or particle effects, was added.

But before we get to the consequences, it is necessary to clarify how all this is about it. First of all, this is only 32 -a bit Physx, and not a 64 -bit version that can be found in Batham: Arkham Knight. But most games use only a 32 -bit version. And the reason for removing support? In fact, it is quite simple because NVIDIA has finished support for acceleration of CUDA 32 -BTA that PhySX uses.

The consequences are quite significant, because you practically will not play with the RTX 50 series with Physx technology. Although the functions can still be turned on, it passes through the processor, and even today’s processor is not strong enough to cope with Physx. In the edge of the mirror, the frequency of personnel K 10 FPS falls on RTX 5090, when the glass is broken and Borderlands 2 regularly drops below 60 and drops below 20 frames per second during explosions.

Other names used by Physx include Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Metro and Batman Arkham. In general, dozens of games are affected, the list can be found in this post on the Reset forum.

Owners of new RTX 50 cards have no choice but to turn off Physx and admit that they do not play with advanced physics in older names. Nothing changes for the owners of the older series, since the RTX 40 and the lower 32 are still working.
