In the evening, the restaurant was filled with guests who came to enjoy not only excellent food, but also the unique atmosphere of the emphasized sounds of FADO – traditional Portuguese music full of emotions. In the desktop game “FADO House” you will be translated at this time and will become the owner of your own restaurant. Your goal is to attract customers, hire musicians and build a business that will earn prestige between the Lisbon elite.
Your business begins modestly – several tables, a limited number of employees and musicians who are still waiting for their big breakthrough. The game is held in a series of moves during which you will place employees in various fields of actions, either on the main game board, or in your own restaurant. The key to success is the efficient use of resources and the correct time of individual actions. Each step represents important solutions. Employees can be sent to various places – to the rehearsal room, where new songs have been compiled for a set of musicians, customers or promotion of the company. If the field of action is busy, a competitive employee moves to the so -called field for ejection, where he receives a reward in accordance with the current situation.
Music is a key element in the house of FADO. Every musician whom we hire is supplied with his own level of glory – the known he is, the more expensive his engagement. Musicians play directly in the restaurant and affect how many customers you will attract. The correct combination of musicians can mean the difference between success and failure. Hiring occurs using a special event. At your disposal are different musicians, each with specialization. Two musicians of the same type cannot work in one restaurant at the same time, adding a strategic element to the choice of the right artists. Musicians gain glory with “applause” from guests who gradually rise in a rating of popularity. As soon as one of them reaches the peak, you can decide whether to release it and get valuable glasses or leave it in your restaurant as a permanent star.
Successful restaurants are not only music – you must also guarantee that there are customers where to sit and are happy. Each new guest needs his table, but the number of places is limited. Critics visit the company and evaluate its quality. As soon as the restaurant finds out, the possibility of adding the third table opens, which means more guests and a large potential profit. Clients pay for food and subsequently affect the musicians. Some contribute to their glory, others are the key to satisfying the requirements of singers. Each interaction between guests and musicians creates a dynamic network of relations that you need to carefully manage.
One of the important elements of the game is the possibility of promotion. You can see a specific musician on an ad Board or invest in the acquisition of a recognized musician who will bring you additional bonuses. This process is financially demanding, but this can be a decisive step towards victory. Another way to make yourself visible is to compose songs. In the rehearsal room, you can create new songs that increase the prestige of the restaurant. If you correctly combine musicians and songs, you will gain a competitive advantage. Fado’s house surprised me very pleasantly. I expected a lot from this board game, but in the end it is a cheerful part, which has a successful graphics, as well as a gameplay that is definitely unavailable. In fact, I would say that it is not difficult to play. Solo mode works well, which can be released if you are tired of playing in large quantities.
If you like music, restaurants and work with figures, House of Fado is a great choice. This is charming both from the point of view of the visual and gameplay. So, if you have a mood for such strategies, I would not be afraid at all.
