The release date of the civilization of Sid Meyer VII is scheduled for February 11. Nevertheless, the new episode of the famous series is already gathering due to the preliminary approach of the assessment, and many of them are not positive. Shortly after the game between the players, the diameter of the user ranking in Steam fell below 50%. It is worth noting that critics of players usually played significantly fewer hours than players who praised the game in their reviews – for example, many critics wrote their rating in just an hour or two with the game.

According to the criticism of the players, the main problem is the feeling of the game. One of the criticized disadvantages is the user interface that can record a clearer game on consoles or portable devices, but can be processed much better. Another factor that is criticized is the lack of cards or art processing. Optimization or absence of a wider range of countries and leaders should also be problematic in the case of a PC. Of course, the creators can do something with this, but the question is whether they can do it according to the release.

In a fresh blog, Firaxis developers responded to criticism, among other things, to improve the user interface as the main priority, but also with a list of other planned improvements, including many cards or the ability to rename the city. The last part of the series was packed for nine years of countless additions and patches, against the fact that a new game in a row is a step back.

Negative acceptance contrasts with positive reactions, since the civilization of Sid Meyer VII has a methacritic 81 on the server, which is very decent. Nevertheless, it is possible that the reaction of the players will change over more hours after or after the release or after the game. There are also those who praise that they cannot break away from the game.
