Microsoft continues to expand the availability of its cloud gaming platform Xbox Cloud Gamingwhich will also reach LG smart TVs. Owners of these TVs will be able to enjoy hundreds of Game Pass Ultimate games directly on their device without the need for a console or PC.
The new Xbox app, available for download on compatible LG Smart TVs, will give you access to games from the Game Pass Ultimate catalog. Available headlines will include expected news such as Recognized from Obsidian Entertainment, or the award-winning game of 2024, Indiana Jones and the Big Circleas well as great racing in the open world Forza Horizon 4, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy whose Diablo IV.
Additionally, the app will support streaming of select games that players already own, even if they are not part of a Game Pass subscription. There are currently over 50 games available this way (including NBA 2K25 and Hogwarts Legacy), and the offering should continue to expand.
If you want to play this way on your TV, you’ll need an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, which costs 439 CZK per month. And, of course, a compatible TV and remote control.
Support for LG TVs is a continuation of the service’s previous expansion to devices. Amazon Fire TV last year and Samsung TV in 2022. This continues Microsoft’s strategy of bringing games to as many people as possible without having to own an Xbox console. The latest advertising campaign was created based on it.
