The first season starts on Friday Marvel Rivals. Free-to-play Overwatch-style 6v6 team play will be expanded to include Fantastic Four.
The season is called Eternal night is coming and throws players into the middle of a dark story as Dracula and Doctor Doom plunge New York into eternal darkness. As an evil vampire unleashes an army of vampiric creatures, the Fantastic Four (Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch and Thing) rise up alongside legendary Marvel heroes to save the city.
“Dracula and Doctor Doom disrupted the orbit of the Moon and trapped Doctor Strange in the astral world. With the help of the Fantastic Four and science, an epic battle against the mystical darkness will be waged.” The official description beckons.
Season 1 of Marvel Rivals will begin on 01/10/2025 at 10:00 AM ET.
Marvel Rivals is a free shooter from NetEase. The team includes people who previously worked on Call of Duty or Battlefield. The game attracted attention within the first 11 days. 20 million players.
