Sometimes development is really difficult.

Larian Studios belongs to the category of studios that show the world that if you want, you can do anything. However, the company’s story might not be as impressive if it lost the opportunity to deliver Baldur’s Gate 3 to players. According to Sven Vincke, there was a possibility that the company would not work on the third part of the legendary role-playing game. He decided to present it to the public in an interview with Edge magazine, the details of which were published by the GamesRadar+ server. The reason they may have missed out on one of the biggest orders ever was because at one point the studio was too focused on finishing Divinity: Original Sin 2 on PC.

Because of this, the company was unable to provide an adequate design for BG3, which brand owner Wizards of the Coast was not too happy about. Luckily, this gave the little video gamer a chance to make amends, and Sven and his team were able to create an RPG that is now considered a game that somewhat shows the direction the genre might take in the future. Larian Studios is currently working on two new projects from known universes. But where the developers will take us next is unknown.
