Japanese studio Tango Gameworks (creators of Hi-Fi Rush, The Evil Within and Ghostwire: Tokyo) are experiencing a new beginning. After the closure of Microsoft in 2024, the studio found a new home under the wing of a South Korean publisher. Craftonwhich, for example, is behind PUBG: Battlegrounds.
Tango Gameworks announced its return to Platform X with an upbeat message: “A new beginning! Tango Gameworks is reborn as Tango Gameworks Inc. and proudly joined the Krafton group. We look forward to creating games that bring joy to players around the world. Thank you for your continued support on this new journey!”
One of the main reasons Crafton took over the studio is likely to be the continuation of the successful rhythm action title. Hi-Fi Rush. It was well received by players and critics alike, and while Crafton admits the sequel’s commercial success may be uncertain, he sees the project as an important step toward meeting fan expectations.
