Some time ago, Rockstar management ordered employees to return to the office. The reason was not only higher productivity, but also a lower likelihood of any leaks. But now a photo has appeared on the Internet, allegedly taken directly from the studio office. Rock Star San Diego.

The photo was posted by JustLovett0 on Reddit with a note that the image was taken by someone who worked at Rockstar for a few months in 2021. They say that it was made in the summer of the same year, about 3.5 years ago. In addition to the image, short video clips were also published showing parts of the office.
Publishing images directly from the Rockstar office very risky step. In the photographs one can discern details such as the specific shape of windows or tables with consoles from PlayStation and Xbox developers. One is marked with the code SAND, which probably refers to Rockstar San Diego.
The user who posted the post stated that the person in question is very close to him and no longer works for Rockstar or the gaming industry, so he sees no reason to worry about being exposed. “Maybe there weren’t cameras back then– he added with a bit of humor. The post was later deleted, but copies quickly appeared on Reddit.
While this leak isn’t as bad as the massive hack in 2022 that revealed gameplay footage and development files from Grand Theft Auto VI, it’s still getting attention. In this case, the culprit was a British teenager who was later arrested but was unable to stand trial due to health reasons.
Rockstar has not yet commented on the leak, but given the history of similar incidents, it is likely that the studio will take care to minimize the damage. Meanwhile, fans are left wondering whether this image is actually from GTA 6 or is it a fake.
