In the world of Carbon, human life is nothing more than the value of its parts. The earth as we know it is lost. Due to an accident during terraforming research, the area has become inhospitable. The continents are affected by mutations of nature and a new type of infection that feeds on energy sources. Humanity has abandoned the planet and moved to giant orbital cities, but the Earth remains a dark and dangerous wasteland. In this dystopian future, augmentations are an integral part of everyday life. Corporations control the rest of humanity, and the world of Carbon invites you into a world where technology and biology determine everyone’s destiny.
Organic vs. Augmentation technology: Players can go in two different ways – choose additions of technological origin (Cyber/Nano-programs) or biological (Gene/Chemical programs). These two options fundamentally affect the playstyle and overall experience of the game. Each path brings unique abilities and strategies.
Organs and specializations: Players can choose a body type, augmentation, and then develop one of 18 unique specializations. Each specialization offers its own passive skill tree, allowing you to tailor the gameplay to suit your preferences.
Talent tree and skill system: There are over 100 different skills in the game that you can customize using the talent tree. Abilities can also be fundamentally altered or enhanced through appropriate skill trees, giving players maximum flexibility and customization.
Carbon will offer online multiplayer mode for up to 4 playerswho can team up on shared adventures. Each player has a unique role based on their abilities and specialization, creating an interesting dynamic in team play. Rewards depend on both team effort and individual performance.
