Studio Milestone announced the return of its iconic racing game Screamerwhich first appeared in 1995. The reimagining of this classic sci-fi arcade game will be coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC in 2026.
Milestone leverages its over three decades of racing game development experience to create a game that aims to revolutionize the genre just like the original did. The original Screamer was a pioneer of racing games in its time, bringing the thrill of arcade racing straight into gamers’ living rooms. New version with the same name builds on the traditions of the originalbut adds modern mechanics, story and visuals inspired by classic anime and manga from the 80s and 90s.
What to expect from the new game high octane arcade actiona carefully crafted story exploring themes of human will, revenge, love and greed, set in a futuristic world filled with classic science fiction elements, characters with their own stories, animated cutscenes produced in collaboration with Polygon Pictures and Troy Baker.
