From affordable high-resolution monitors to premium ultra-wide models that deliver breathtaking visuals.
Choosing a gift for a gamer can be a daunting task. Will they enjoy playing under the tree? And will the mouse you chose fall on them? Luckily, with all the gifts it’s not that difficult. For example, choosing a monitor is relatively easy.
You can choose based on a number of characteristics, purpose and price. Today we’ll be showing off six monitors from MSI, each with slightly different specs. At least one of them will suit everyone.
4K and 160Hz resolution is cheap
Let’s start with the fact that we have two pieces for about 15,000 CZK. While 15,000 might not seem like a lot considering the specs, these are monitors that offer a lot. MSI MAG 321CUP and MAG 322UPF have 4K resolution at 160Hz and are approximately 32 inches diagonal. The combination of high resolution and high refresh rate makes these devices true all-rounders, suitable for all gaming genres.
The MSI MAG 322UPF model is equipped with a completely flat Rapid IPS panel. In contrast, the MAG 321CUP will offer a curved VA panel. The maximum brightness of 400 nits is the same. The MAG 322UPF is slightly better suited for content creation thanks to its better AdobeRGB and sRGB coverage. It will also offer 90W USB-C power. When it comes to gaming, the curved screen and technology preferences of the panel will likely be critical. Otherwise, these two monitors are very similar.
For competitive gamers – QD-OLED with high frequency
Do you prefer high frequencies and very low panel response? In this case, you will be pleased with the MSI MPG 271QRX QD-OLED and MPG 321URX QD-OLED models. As the name suggests, these are models with a QD-OLED top panel. It not only offers excellent color reproduction and absolute blacks thanks to the ability to completely turn off pixels, but also very fast response times. In particular, it is up to 0.03 ms. For competitive title players, both models are ideal.
The smaller MPG 271QRX QD-OLED with a 27-inch diagonal and QHD resolution is a mid-size device. Thanks to the QHD resolution, you can expect high FPS even at moderately powerful settings. The refresh rate reaches 360 Hz, which is significantly higher than the standard even for monitors with a price tag of more than 20,000 CZK. AMD FreeSync technology delivers the smoothest experience on AMD cards and the highest color quality with wide AdobeRGB (119%) and sRGB (148%) gamut.
The larger MSI MPG 321URX QD-OLED uses the same panel technology and has 4K resolution on a 32-inch screen. The refresh rate is still 240Hz. This monitor can be recommended to demanding gamers who often use a console in addition to their PC. This is where the 4K resolution really comes in handy, and the big screen will make less of the action titles where you want to enjoy the scenery stand out.
Expand your horizons
As a result, we have two slightly unconventional, but even better works. These are monitors with a wide-angle aspect ratio. This type of monitor has several advantages. Firstly, it offers a much larger workspace. You can place multiple windows next to each other, instantly increasing your productivity.
In games, such monitors will provide better immersion. In short, you’ll have a much easier time immersing yourself in the game because the image will surround you. The vast majority of games are designed for ultra-wide monitors, so you can expect optimization.
The MSI MAG 341CQP QD-OLED has an aspect ratio of 21:9 and a resolution of 3440×1440 pixels. Again, the 175Hz QD-OLED display shines here. Thus, the monitor will offer gamers the highest performance and creative people with accurate and accurate colors.
If you’re looking for an even bigger item, the MSI MPG 491CQP QD-OLED is the perfect choice. The 49-inch diagonal will simply amaze you. With a 32:9 aspect ratio, you can best think of this monitor as two pieces connected together in a classic 16:9 aspect ratio. Dual QHD resolution guarantees smooth images. There is also a high frequency of 144 Hz and technology such as FreeSync. The QD-OLED panel provides an excellent picture.
Although ultra-wide monitors with a QD-OLED panel are not among the cheapest, with their diagonal they will represent 2 monitors. If you love immersing yourself in gaming stories as well as working, you won’t find better monitors.
In general, choosing QD-OLED monitors is a bet on the latest technology and the greatest pleasure. MSI has perfected these panels. Therefore, they provide a large color gamut and minimal color deviation. MSI OLED Care 2.0 reduces the risk of image burn-in, which is almost the only drawback of this technology. The low response rate will captivate gamers and the excellent performance will make this monitor the envy of anyone who lays eyes on it.
