A story similar to the movie happened to a gamer named Brandon Jay. He shared on social network X his experience with his newly purchased console Xbox Series S literally saved my life. The incident occurred while he was riding his bicycle when he was hit by a truck and dragged more than three meters.
Brandon was just riding his bike back from GameStop with the new Xbox Series S in his backpack. When the accident occurred, he was pulled under a truck and pinned to the ground. However, the Xbox in his backpack softened the blow and prevented him from suffering more serious injuries, including a head injury. “Without this console in my backpack, things could have been much worse,” stated Brandon.
In the end, he escaped with “only” a broken leg bone and a few scratches. He was convinced that after the accident the console should be completely destroyed. However, to his surprise Xbox Series S still works when turned ondespite significant physical damage.
The story quickly attracted the attention of not only the gaming community, but also the Xbox team itself. Through its official account, Microsoft wished Brandon a speedy recovery and offered him new console part as a replacement. “We’re glad you’re okay! If you want, we’ll be happy to send you a new Xbox.” wrote company representatives.
