At the GSC Game World studio after the game’s release STALKER 2: The Heart of Chernobyl they give no rest. Instead, they are working full speed ahead on the third patch, which will focus on further bug fixes, better optimizations, and improvements to game mechanics.
This update, labeled 1.0.3, doesn’t fix the 650+ bugs that the first did (the second removed more), but it’s still important. That’s 20GB on PC and 7.91GB on Xbox Series X/S.
Update highlights: fixes for game crashes and memory leaks (memory leaks) that have plagued many players since the game’s release. The developers have also adjusted controls based on community feedback—for example, mouse smoothing and mouse acceleration are now disabled by default. New camera sensitivity (25%) and aiming (15%) values have been optimized for more predictable and smooth interactions.
The fixes also apply to main and side missions. Key modifications include:
– Fixed NPCs.who blocked the doors during the mission “Back to the Slag Heap”.
– Fixed problem when mutants reached out in an unnatural position after being hit by an automatic weapon.
– Fixed problems with enemies disappearing. or important items during some missions such as “A Heavy Burden” and “In the Name of Science”.
– You don’t want AI behavior to improvel to avoid problems where NPCs would stop responding or die in inappropriate situations.
In the patch notes, the developers apologized for the problems and thanked players for their feedback: “Your support helps us make the Zone the best place to explore and play.” At the same time, they encouraged the community to continue to report bugs through technical support, this can be done through the official forum and social networks.
More fixes are on the way. They will focus on greater stability, optimizing performance, and eliminating other anomalies that plague players while exploring the post-apocalyptic world. The system should also be improved in the future. Lifewho is responsible for modeling life in the Zone.
