Game No Man’s Sky Hello Games has just reached a milestone that was almost unimaginable in its early days. After eight long years since its release, the game has finally received an average “very positive” rating on Steam with over 80% positive reviews. Recent reviews have been “overwhelmingly positive.”
Studio founder Sean Murray shared his excitement about Platform X: “Oh my God, guys, it worked! All reviews: Very positive. Thank you, thank you and thank you again. You have no idea what this means to us.”
The success of No Man’s Sky is all the more remarkable considering that the game came out in 2016. she faced huge criticism. Hello Games studio promised a sophisticated space simulator with procedurally generated worlds, the ability to interact with players, a rich ecosystem and other unique elements. However, the reality was different: players found an empty and monotonous game world, shortcomings in graphics and mechanics, and many initially promised functions were missing. Shortly after release, ratings on Steam moved into the “mostly negative” category, which damaged the reputation of both the game and the developers.
