The head of the Czech studio does not agree with the criticism.
Developers from the Czech studio Bohemia Interactive released the first paid expansion for the famous survival game DayZ in mid-October. An add-on called Frostline made significantly revive interest in the entire gamewhich was mainly due to the number of active players on Steam reaching an all-time high.
Despite the obvious interest in the new DLC, user reviews are very mixed. DayZ Frostline has a special feature on Steam average rating 48%however, only 26% of users rated the extension positively over the past 30 days.
A significant percentage of players do just that. complains about the pricewhich the studio set at 27 euros. However, studio head Marek Spanel does not agree with complaints about the pricing policy. He noted via social network X that according to Steam, players spent an average of 188 hours in DayZ, paying about $30 for the experience.
The Spaniard also recalls the considerable costs that the studio incurred in the long term. spends on online infrastructure. Plus, he says, DayZ Frostline definitely offers more than just a new map called Sahal.
