In less than a month it will be one year since the day of the successor Settlers released on Steam Early Access. Construction strategy Pioneers of Pagonia it has attracted attention, has positive user reviews, and its authors are working hard to expand and improve it. All early adopters can look forward to a big, magical update this week.
This is the fourth major update in a row. It focuses on significantly improving the combat system and adds magic unitsincluding new enemies called the Damned (curse). They destroy nature and abuse it for their own purposes. Only units with knowledge of magic can remove curses and prevent them from performing additional rituals and threatening waves of attacks passing through the portals.
Wizards and witches need special weapons and equipmentso they can stop the damned. Thus, new resources, building types, units and production chains are available that must be used strategically and skillfully. This opens up another tactical layer that brings even more excitement, especially for strategists.
Another new thing – treasure hunter. He will explore Pagonia in search of hidden riches, secret arsenals and lost artifacts.
