Sega continues to shut down its European operations.
French developers Amplitude Studio announced they were leaving maternity leave Shogi. The owners are members of a team that will therefore function completely independently. The publisher also confirmed the sale.
“Being part of the Sega family and working with their team has been an incredible journey for us over the past eight years. We learned a lot, grew in ways we never imagined, and made good friends,” the developers write, assuring that they are parting with the now former owner on good terms.
“By going back to our indie roots, we’re tapping into what drives us: creativity, innovation and deep collaboration with the community. These values have shaped us from the very beginning and will guide us through our next exciting chapter,” add the authors of 4X Strategies. Infinite space And Humanity or last year’s tactical actions Endless Dungeon.
Sega confirmed that this is the next step in an extensive restructuring of the European division. Personnel changes affected, for example, the mobile studio Hard light or famous team Creative Assemblywho, after the cancellation of the Hyenas multiplayer event, is working on a sequel to the horror film Alien: Isolation. In the spring, Sega sold the Canadian studio to a private investor Relic Entertainment.
