Ubisoft’s falling market value could prompt layoffs and cancellations of games in development. In difficult times, French society must rely on games to improve its financial situation. This should not only be the case Assassin’s Creed Shadows (recently moved from Nov/Nov 2024 to Feb/Feb 2025) but also Splinter Cell remake.
A remake of the first adventure of secret agent Sam Fisher was announced at the end of 2021. Recently there was talk about a possible cancellation. According to Insider Gaming, work on the game continues under the code name North. Some sources suggest that the Splinter Cell remake could be released in 2026. At the time of announcement, it was in the very early stages of development.

They are also involved in the work on Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake. The Snowdrop engine was chosen for development. It supports The Division, Avatar and Outlaws. So they have the necessary experience working with it in Toronto.
What do we know about the Splinter Cell remake? Next-generation graphics and gameplay await us. The authors intend to maintain a linear style and use rich brand content.
