Nintendo is unique. The Japanese company does not want to get involved in the PlayStation and Xbox console war. It’s aimed at a different group of gamers and appeals to the Switch. Millions of gamers around the world are waiting for the announcement of the successor to this successful console. But they didn’t expect this.
Nintendo unveiled the Switch 2 instead Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarm Clock. This is an interactive alarm clock designed to make waking up in the morning more pleasant. You can wake up to the sounds of five Nintendo games. More sounds are expected to be added over time as a free update. Currently there will be sounds from Super Mario Oddysey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 3, Pikmin 4 and Ring Fit Adventure.
The longer you stay in bed after the first ringing, the stronger the alarm will be. According to Nintendo, this will happen for sleepers less friendly guests. In addition, you can choose sounds to calm you down and fall asleep.
Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo will be available in early 2025. It will sell for US$99 (about CZK 2,300). Nintendo Switch Online subscribers in the US and Canada will soon be able to purchase a special alarm clock through My Nintendo Store. It will also be available at the Nintendo New York Store in Manhattan.
