Will players have to wait until 2029 for something new from Larian?
During his speech at the SEA Game Awards, Larian studio head Sven Vincke hinted that players of the new game from the creators of the award-winning Baldur’s Gate 3 will be able to wait another five yearswhich would mean a release around 2028 or 2029.
Vincke subsequently softened his words in an interview with IGN magazine, saying that it was just a joke. Considering that until recently the studio primarily focused on additional support for Baldur’s Gate 3so it’s unlikely that we’ll see another game of the same ambition and size in the coming years.
However, will players really have to wait until the end of this decade for Larian’s next project? this is now more of a questionwhich even Sven Vincke himself will probably not be able to answer with certainty at the moment.
