The game will be released on PC and consoles later this year.
At the end of August, the Polish studio 7Levels presented a new game with King Kong in the central role. The title is called Kong: Survivor Instinct, and today, in addition to a new trailer, the exact release date was revealed. This was scheduled for October 22when the game comes out on PC (Steam), as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
By genre we are talking about 2.5 action platformerin which you will face King Kong himself and other giant monsters in the shoes of the main character David. In terms of the setting of the Monsterverse series, the game follows the events of Godzilla vs. Kong from 2021.
In terms of gameplay, the title bets on combination of action and platformingwhich will complement the environmental exploration in the style of Metroidvania games. So perhaps the result will be better than the last game starring King Kong, Skull Island: Rise of Kong, which was among the worst titles of last year.
