XDefiant Isn’t Dying. Developers Deny Reports of Possible Game Ending

Producer Mark Rubin He denies this in his blog on the website Ubisoft speculation about possible withdrawal of support for the shooter XDefiant“I just want to quickly comment on the state of the game, if the game is dying. No, the game is definitely not dying,” he writes.

“We know we need to improve some things (…), but the game is going well. We just want it to do even better. And we’ll do that by responding to our community’s feedback, as was always the plan,” he adds. In particular, the team is focusing on network connectivity issues and also wants to expand progression options.

The report also includes a roadmap detailing the content of the upcoming second season, which drops in less than a week, as well as seasons three and four.

According to behind-the-scenes information, the start of Season 3 is set to be a critical time for the developers. Initial reports suggest that if the developers fail to improve playability by then, Ubisoft will consider ending active support for the game. However, the number of concurrent players should not exceed 20,000. Rubin says that the company’s management is supportive of the Los Angeles team and has even increased funding for its development.
