PlayStation 5 Pro will not offer this option.
With the advent of the current generation of consoles, it has become the rule that individual games offer players a choice. between at least two display modesWhile Performance Mode prioritizes frame rate, Quality Mode targets more detailed graphics and higher resolutions.
During the presentation of the upcoming PlayStation 5 Pro console on Tuesday, its chief architect Mark Cerny said that the new console will not include this option. According to Cerny, the higher performance of the device itself will provide the best of both modes. This news will probably affect the first batch of games that will bear the PS5 Pro Enhanced designation. However, it cannot be completely ruled out that the situation will not change in the future with the arrival of more demanding games.
In terms of display modes, Cerny also said that approx. 75% of owners of the basic version PlayStation 5 prefers performance mode. A survey started by Geoff Keighley on social network X even showed that 81% of gamers prefer the performance mode. Which display mode do you prefer? Let us know in the comments or via the poll below.
