“Indy has no superpowers. It’s often noted that fighting is not his strong suit. All things considered, he’s just a teacher and a somewhat inept archaeologist.” explains creative director Axel Torvenius in an interview with Edge magazine, where he also reminds us that Indy’s passion gets him into strange situations with enemies and traps.
“If he kept shooting at all the enemies, it wouldn’t fit his character. At MachineGames, we pay special attention to the level of danger. We try to convey the feeling that if they have to engage in combat, it’s very dangerous. Likewise, it’s very dangerous to shoot at enemies, because reinforcements will come.” — adds Torvenius.
Head of Development Jerk Gustafsson confirmed this. There are a lot of weapons in the gamebut you prefer not to use them because they are too loud and too dangerous. Instead of shooting your gun, you sneak up on your enemy and hit him over the head with your gun.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is coming to PC and Xbox Series X/S on December 9th this year. The game will be available on the same day in Game PassThe PlayStation 5 version will be released in spring 2025.
