Fans of the Ace Attorney series are having an exceptionally successful season this year. While January saw the collection of volumes four through six, just a few months later Capcom announced another collection, namely the spin-off Investigation starring Miles Edgeworth, a prosecutor and close friend of Phoenix Wright.

The new collection is coming out on Friday, September 6, and in addition to the first part of 2009, it will also bring with it the praised second part, which fans consider one of the best parts of the entire series. But unlike the first “Investigations”, it never left the Japanese market, and Western players could only enjoy it thanks to a fan localization, which will now change.

The collection also features significantly improved graphics, a partially modernized soundtrack, a ton of QoL improvements, and bonuses in the form of an art gallery. You can watch demos of key mechanics, like Edgeworth’s use of logic and mental chess, on YouTube. But if you want to try the game out, you don’t even have to wait for the release; a demo has been available for a while now that lets you try out part of the first case from both games.

Ace Attorney Investigations is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. We’re already working on a review and will bring it to you in September.
