Leaving aside the activities related to the release of modding tools for The Witcher 3, that is, comics and board games from the world of The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077, Polish CD Projekt RED has been rather quiet lately.. However, there are more than enough events: the beginning of a new Witcher game trilogy with the working title Polaris, a full-fledged sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 with the working title Orion, a completely new brand with the tentative name Hadar or a Witcher spin-off, now known as Sirius. The latter is being prepared by the Boston-based studio The Molasses Flood, which CD Projekt RED bought at the end of 2021. We should also not forget about the remake of the first Witcher from 2007, which is being prepared by the external Polish studio Fool’s Theory under the supervision of CD Projekt.
Some might think that The Witcher Remake from Fool’s Theory is partly to make the wait for the new full-fledged part of The Witcher more enjoyable. But it is obvious that this will not be the case.
