“Once again, we are incredibly humbled and grateful for your continued support – it is the force that drives us to create even more amazing Terraria experiences every day.” said the developers from the Re-Logic studio.

They also clarified that out of the 58.7 million copies sold, about 32 million comes from the PC versionOther copies represent a combination of platforms, from classic consoles such as PlayStation or Xbox to various portable devices and mobile systems Android and iOS (even Windows Phone).

The authors then concluded their post by wondering what might happen when a game sells 60 million copies. Reaching that high a number is great successTerraria is more successful in this regard than, for example, Overwatch, The Witcher 3 or Animal Crossing: New Horizons and others.

The developers previously announced their plans for Terraria 2. However, no further details have been revealed yet, other than the transition to a new engine.
