Today’s Direct also featured games from Nintendo. And while Metroid Prime 4: Beyond understandably received the most attention, the new entry in The Legend of Zelda series was no less interesting.
This is not a big 3D game in the style of Breath of the Wild or Tears of the Kingdom, but a 2D game that visually resembles the Link’s Awakening remake. Of course, the most interesting thing about it is that we will not be playing as Link, but as Princess Zelda.
In terms of gameplay, it will be a significantly different game compared to the classic works. Zelda does not fight with a sword, but uses a wand, with which she can create “echoes” of certain objects, be it a table, a stone, or even a bed. There is no limit to the imagination, and it is up to us how we use objects to move forward.
There will also be battles in which it will be the turn to throw objects at enemies, as well as create echoes of opponents, who will then fight on our side.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom has been released September 26 on Nintendo Switch.
