Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake from this team’s workshop will be modern remake, which will be completely different in some respects. At the very beginning, the developers determined what they wanted to keep, what they wanted to change a little, and what they wanted to completely redo. In all three cases, they remember respect, which is part of the pillar built on these four foundations.

Bio Jade creative director Adam Granger said some elements will remain the same. This is for example wall running. They consider it so iconic that it would be a shame to try to change it. Instead, they want to make it as similar as possible. anyway it’s his business dagger. Then there are the core elements that are respected and promoted. Namely, time abilities, game tone, and gravity gameplay. They are also modernizing the level design and they increase the scale of the world. They want players to be impressed by the castle. They also change the tasks a bit.

Development lead Michael McIntyre dedicated himself to the fight. The latter is undergoing major changes, as current players will find it outdated. However, even here there are moments that will remain in the remake. This is for example striking a downed enemy, suck the sand out of it with a dagger. The same goes for the signature attacks and throws from the original.

“I think fights they are a good example of this. The original combat would seem outdated to many players today. Combat in games like Prince of Persia has changed a lot in the 21 years since their release, and some recent games like Dark Souls and God of War have really elevated combat even for casual gamers. This is an area where you need to think about contemporary style.” McIntyre stated.

In the next part of the interview, McIntyre addressed this story. They will tell the same love storywhat they think is beautiful. However, even here there are many nuances in how they can serve the story to make it interesting for players. The biggest change in history Farrahwhich gets more space. But this does not mean that it will be playable. Instead, there will be more interaction between Farah and the prince to learn more about their relationship. “They’ll just spend more time together” he explained.

Bio Jade creative director Adam Grainger has added another piece to it. In the remake they are trying to modernize her image and make her into a great character. there will be more depth and plot. A lot of new Farah-related content will be optional.

So, I hope the work will be successful and the prince will return in all his glory. The developers from the Indian branch did not succeed, the remake was taken away from them. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will be released no earlier than 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
