Life is Strange returns and this time we return to the main character from the first part, i.e. Max CaulfieldIn the title Life is strange: double exposure. Max became a young and promising photographer studying at the prestigious Caledonian University. The whole idyll ends when Max hears a shot and finds his new Safi’s best friend died in the snow. Of course, the main character cannot just let go of the situation, thanks to his ability to manipulate time alone. There’s just one small problem. Max swore she would never use her powers again, so she didn’t use them for several years. Until now. What could go wrong, right?
That’s all, really. Instead of turning back time, Max transported to an alternate reality, where Safi is still alive, but also in very great danger. The killer may strike again at any moment, and you will not only have to find out who killed Safi, but also prevent the tragedy that lurks around every corner. To achieve this goal, you need to travel between different realities.
This time, don’t expect an episodic release, but rather one full game. The question is which reality and which solutions are canonical. All Life is Strange expanded universe media uses an ending in which Chloe survives and follows events that occur after the main game. If the prevailing reality here is that Chloe doesn’t survive, it will be interesting to see the various interactions with people from the town where Max grew up. Also worth noting is the fact that Max has already had the ability to travel to different realities in the comics, which are part of the said expanded universe of the series.
Life is Strange: Double Eye Pose will be released on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC consoles on October 29, 2024. The game will also be released on Nintendo Switch.
