Developers from the Japanese studio Atlus will release next Friday, June 14th an expanded version of the JRPG Shin Megami Tensei V, subtitled Vengeance. With the release of the new edition, the previous Nintedo Switch exclusive version will also be presented for the first time on PC (Steam) and PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles. Compared to the original 2021 version, the authors are mainly appealing to an alternative version of history called “Revenge Canon”, in which completely new characters should appear.
They won’t disappear either hitherto unknown locations and enemies. The first review from Japanese magazine Famitsu highlights the large amount of new content, headlined by the aforementioned story, the new version of which is expected to take around 80 hours to complete. You can see the newly released launch trailer above in the preview.
