Yesterday at the State of Play conference, the PC version of the action adventure God of War: Ragnarök was announced. This was accompanied by a new preview of an improved version of the horror film Before Dawn, which in addition to the PlayStation 5 console will also be aimed at computers. But soon after the announcement it became clear that both games will require a PSN account to play.
This condition has generated a lot of interest in the games Helldivers 2 and Ghost of Tsushima in recent weeks. So everything points to the fact that The company does not intend to deviate from this condition even after criticism from players. So, the current situation suggests that all future games from Sony will require a PSN account on PC.
This is especially a problem for players from countries where PSN is not officially available. Specifically there are 177 states, in which affected games will no longer be sold on Steam or the competing Epic Games Store. This fate befell the events of Helldivers 2 and Ghost of Tsushima, which still cannot be purchased in the mentioned group of countries.
