Developers Fallen Tree Games have released a new trailer for their upcoming game called The Precinct. It’s about isometric city action, which takes inspiration from the old Grand Theft Auto series from the late 1990s, which also used isometric projection. The transition to today’s traditional third-person camera only occurred in the third part of 2001. In The Precinct, you play as a young police officer who will ensure order in the city. The authors offer you car chases, shootouts with criminals and a detailed game world in the style of neon noir and destructible environments.
The result should be action sandbox with a focus on the police component. According to the developers, there will also be a developed plot that will complement the procedurally generated tasks. You can watch two minutes of gameplay in the preview above. The Precinct will be released later this year on PC (Steam) and PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
