In two weeks, the popular arcade fighting game in the style of Smash Bros for children and adults will return. A new version Multiverse calls for improvement and Mark Hamill in the role Joker.
This is a pleasant surprise considering the movie star recently announced that he will no longer be the iconic DC villain following the death of Kevin Conroy (who played Batman for many years). Thus, MultiVersus will be one of the last opportunities where we will hear from both actors.
The roster of playable heroes includes many characters from DC Comics, Looney Tunes, Cartoon Network, Game of Thrones, Tom & Jerry, Gremlins, Rick & Morty and The Iron Giant.
Multiverse like free game will be released on May 28 this year for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. The game will support cross-play and transfer progress between platforms.
The game originally released in the summer of 2022, with up to 20 million players participating in its public beta. But then it was turned off and the creators decided to rework and improve it, including switching to Unreal Engine 5, adding better gameplay and additional characters and arenas.
