There are only a few weeks left until the release of the second Hellblade, and today the developers from the Ninja Theory studio they shared o other important information that will be useful to know if you play on PC. We have reviewed the complete hardware requirements.

The absolute minimum you must meet to guarantee the game will run is an AMD Ryzen 5 2600 or Intel Core i5-8400 processor, an Nvidia GTX 1070, AMD Radeon RX 5700 or Intel Arc A580 graphics card, and the graphics card must be at least 6GB memory. Definitely nothing radical, but you’ll have to live with 1080p resolution and Low settings. For mid-range settings, you’ll already need a next-gen processor and RTX 2070 or RX 5700 XT graphics, but Intel still has the Arc A580. The VRAM requirements then increase to 8GB.

The next step is to set the Hight to 1440p resolution. There, the requirements for the Core i7-10700K or Ryzen 5 5600X on the processor side and on the RTX 3080 or RX 6800 XT on the GPU side are already growing. It’s somewhat surprising that the Arc A770 appears next to the previous generation’s top model, even though the aforementioned graphics are about 70% more powerful. Either by some miracle the game runs much better on Intel than on AMD or Nvidia cards, or the specifications are written rather clumsily.

As for the highest target, the developers claim High settings at 4K, which requires a Core i5-12600K or Ryzen 7 5700X processor and an RTX 4080 or RX 7900 XTX graphics card. VRAM requirements have been increased to 12GB, which is less than what both cards offer.

Otherwise, for all presets you will need 16 GB RAM, 70 GB disk space (only SSD is supported, not HDD) and Windows 10 or 11.

But you probably noticed that the target FPS number does not appear in any column. This leads me to believe that with these specs the developers are aiming for 30fps and that is how the game will run on consoles as well. After all, it’s stated below that you can use upscaling to achieve higher frame rates or resolutions. On the plus side, like many other UE5 games, all the major technologies will be available here: DLSS, FSR and XeSS.

Epic’s TSR isn’t mentioned, but it likely won’t be missing either since it’s integrated directly into Unreal Engine 5. However, it’s unclear whether the game will offer frame generation support. Support for DLSS 3 and FSR 3 is specifically mentioned, but this does not necessarily mean frame generation is confirmed due to the rather confusing labeling.

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II will release on May 21 on PC and Xbox Series X|S. You can count on official Czech localization.
