Life Assassin’s Creed Mirage expires six months after publication. Ubisoft is no longer planning any major updates to add new content, let alone paid DLC.
The French company is pleased to add New Game Plus and a permanent deadly difficulty to Mirage. Now he’s focused on the future as a journey to feudal Japan in the massive Assassin’s Creed RPG, tentatively titled. Ed and then a stop in 16th-century Central Europe for a slightly more linear and darker witch-hunting adventure.
But that doesn’t mean we can’t go back to Baghdad and places like that one day. Stephane Boudon, head of Mirage development, left the door open during a Reddit AMA: “We have ideas to expand Basim’s story, but there is no post-launch content planned for Mirage at this time.” He then added that they will continue to monitor and listen to player feedback.
One thing is important: Ubisoft is looking forward to Mirage. So one day we might go back and see how the story of street thief Basim continued before he appeared in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla as the mentor of Eivor, the protagonist of the Viking adventure.
“We had a lot of fun telling Basim’s coming-of-age story, so yes, we definitely have a lot to say about the character. On the other hand, creating a game with so many restrictions is difficult, and we as a team would like to explore new horizons and have more creative freedom.” Budon explained.
