After twelve long years of early access, the full game will be released. 7 days to die. It is a combination of first person shooter, survival horror, tower defense and RPG. It has sold over 16 million copies.
The game was launched in early access on Steam on 13/12/2013. Now the creators have announced that they are finally ready to release version 1.0. The Fun Pimps studio intends to continue working on the game and create new content.. They want to show their resolve with an update that will bring more brutal zombie kills, completely redesigned vehicles, a new challenge system, more zombie types, better controller support and other news, as well as, of course, bug fixes and optimizations.
They want to add a lot of new content in the future. At the end of this year, the game will be replenished with a weather system, a redesign of bandits or cross-play between consoles. Bandits, the event system, new quest types, or UI improvements should be something to look out for in Q2 2025. And for the end of 2025, other new types of quests, a story mode or Steam Workshop support for uploading and downloading modifications are planned.
This is good news for owners of 7 Days to Die on PC. Console owners will have to buy the game again if they want version 1.0. The creators explain this decision significant technical difference between old and current console hardware. At the very least, they’re working with Sony and Microsoft to give owners of the old digital version of the game a discount when purchasing the new console version. It will soon disappear from the menu.
