THQ Nordic brings horror to life Alone in the dark via a one-minute trailer that summarizes rave reviews from select media outlets. But don’t get too drunk, the series’ reincarnation has been met with mixed reactions. It has an average rating of 63% on Metacritic, while it has a more positive rating on Steam (78%).
Alone in the Dark was released on March 20 this year on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. It is available on all platforms free prologue. We rated the game 7/10 in our review and wrote about it:
“Alone in the Dark strives to introduce new audiences to the game, series and story that began one of the most popular genres that enjoys enormous support today, many years ago. Unfortunately, compared to its direct competitors, this new reimagining of the original doesn’t stand out as much as it could, but it’s still a fun and well-made game that I hope is just the start of something bigger.”
