In August 2022, the game Where Winds Meet, developed by the Chinese studio Everstone Games, was presented at the Gamescom Opening Night Live conference. By genre this is a role playing game The story takes place in the open world of medieval China during the Three Kingdoms period.

However, since the first previews were published, the game has been talked about as a Chinese variation of the famous adventure game Ghost of Tsushima from Sucker Punch Productions, which the developers clearly took inspiration from in some areas. The aforementioned emphasis on historical setting and open world combined with parkour mechanics reminds me of the Assassin’s Creed series for a change.

Even a new gameplay trailer showing the handling of movement, combat and the world itself, apparently, will not change this impression. The trailer primarily serves as a teaser for the upcoming closed beta, which you can sign up for on the official website. Testing will be on computers already started on April 19. In addition to PC, the full version of the game should also be aimed at current consoles, which have no release date yet.
