There is currently a crowdfunding campaign running on the famous Kickstarter platform. Czech game called “Scribe”.. Behind the name is the brotherly pair of developers consisting of Mikulas Podprocki and Tomasz Podprocki. Mikulas worked for more than 10 years at the Illusion softworks/2K Czech studio, where he worked mainly on the Mafia series as an artist. In 2014, he moved to Warhorse studio, where he participated in the development of the medieval role-playing game Kingdom Come: Deliverance as art director and senior character artist.

However, in his free time, together with his brother under the banner of the independent studio Rawmeat, he has been working on the aforementioned Scribe title for more than three years, which recently received an official presentation and the launch of a Kickstarter campaign. , which target set at $54 thousand. So far, less than $7,000 has been raised. But there are still 28 days left before the end of the campaign.

The scribe is described genre mixture combining RPG, adventure and 2D platformer. The game also features an open world and unique pixel graphics. In terms of visuals and game mechanics, the authors were mainly inspired by classic games of the 80s and 90s such as Prince of Persia, Another World and Flashback. However, the title also borrows some elements from famous series such as Monkey Island and The Elder Scrolls. If all goes according to plan, Scribe should be released sometime in 2026.
