Czech game Phonopolis wins prize for most impressive artistic treatment – INDIAN

In the Brno studio Fly Agaric Design, where successful independent games Happy Game, Creaks, Chuchel, Samorost or Botanicula were created, there is reason to celebrate. Their upcoming game Fonopolis won the “Outstanding Achievement in Visual Arts” award at the 26th Annual GDC Developers Conference in San Francisco. This award is given to works with the most impressive artwork.

Phonopolis is a dystopian team game of three, originally created from cardboard. It can be said to be a continuation of the darker Happy Games as its story interweaves themes such as manipulation and individualism. Despite this, he retains Amanita’s typical shrewdness and playfulness. We take on the role of Felix, an inconspicuous young man who, along with his fellow citizens, unknowingly faces a great threat. The authoritarian city leader is going to sound the Absolute Tone through the ubiquitous megaphones and forever take control of the collective minds of all the city’s residents. It is only by luck that Felix is the only one of the residents who understands what can happen and tries to thwart the Leader’s plan.

Unfortunately, Phonopolis does not have a release date or announced platforms. PC (Steam) – that’s for sure.
