Overwatch 2 is the sequel to the relatively successful multiplayer first-person shooter, which was somewhat justified by the fact that in addition to multiplayer, it would also offer the world a PvE format tied to the story. However, things didn’t quite go to plan during development, leading to a number of things that left the community underwhelmed. For a while they even worked with the idea that PvE would not be in the game at all, but in the end the community of players received a package of three PvE-oriented missions, the design of which did not cost much, for which many fans criticized them.
Sales were very low due to their processing. This led to a complete halt in the development of further PvE content. In the long term, Blizzard is likely to focus primarily on competitive PvP, so hopefully it can at least make a breakthrough in that direction. Overwatch 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
