On startup Overwatch 2 Blizzard didn’t follow the “don’t change what works” rule. Instead, he foolishly believed that players would be thrilled to be able to lock heroes into Battle Passes and would play like crazy to unlock them. Now the developers have finally admitted the mistake. More importantly, they announced changes.
Starting from the tenth season, this rule changes. All new heroes will be unlocked upon release, just like in Overwatch 1. Players will also have access to all existing heroes such as Mauga, Illari, Lifeweaver, and Kiriko. Just don’t expect him to get any reward/compensation for going through all this. New players will be upset too. They first need to unlock a basic roster of characters.
Overwatch 2 Season 10 will begin in April/April and will bring with it the Mythic Skin Shop. It will contain Mythical skins previous and current season. Season eleven releases a new map, Runasapi, set in Peru. Then they promise a redesign of the Colosseum map and major updates to the Dorado, Havana, Numbani and Royal Circuit maps.
To top it all off, Season 10 will include a limited-time trial for Overwatch 2. It will include the new Hanaoka map.
