According to IGN magazine’s source, the vision for Marathon was supposed to change with the arrival of a new game director. One of the changes should be a move to pre-built heroes, modeled after hero shooters like Valorant. Initially, players were required to create their own characters.
The game director has recently changed. Destiny 2which will soon see expansion Final form. Its success hinges on the future of the studio, which faces significant uncertainty following massive layoffs in the fall.
